WEMBASSY INC.After our introduction into the Drupal scene with modules that have expanded and added to the value of Drupal and Aegir as well as developing several great sites for customers we always found that there was one common thread of complaint from our customers and developer partners and that was drupal was too hard to learn, it was complicated and it was hard to figure out where to start. This learning curve helped to drive several customers away from drupal and instead use Wordpress or something similar. With this core problem in hand we set out researching and looking for ways to help make the process of site building and site maintenance easier. This led us to find services like Drupal Gardens, which provided great simple sites, but lacked some of the more powerful modules that helps make Drupal what it is, we then looked at SquareSpace that provided great tools, easy interface, but often felt like you were building the website in a vaccum with little support or community surrounding it. We wanted to build a Hybrid solution that not only made it easy for customers to build and use their sites, but promoted the Professional Developer and Theme Developer. Giving them access to customers who are looking for professional, individualized solutions to their various website needs. This meant building a backend system that integrates with some of the latest technology including, Bespin Web Based IDE, Git, Aegir, Drupal, and many other APIs that are currently on the web, but sometimes hard for beginners to implement into a new website.
